Christian Hunnicutt

Offensive Line Coach | Gainesville High School

 During his tenure as an Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach, he has been a part of Eight State Championship teams and has contributed to Five State Runner-Up finishes, most recently helping lead Gainesville to the finals in 2022 and 2025.

His coaching journey includes roles at some of Georgia’s most notable programs:

• Gainesville High School (2022–Present): Offensive Line Coach
• Collins Hill High School (2020–2021): Offensive Line Coach
• Grayson High School (2017–2018): Head Football Coach (Region Coach of the Year, 2018)
• Lowndes High School (2013 - 2014) Offensive Line Coach
• Peach County (2012) Offensive Line Coach
• Buford High School (1997–2011): Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach

Professional Honors & Recognition

Coach Hunnicutt’s impact extends beyond the scoreboard. He is a multi-time recipient of the Tally Johnson Assistant Coach of the Year award in Gwinnett County (2004, 2015) and was named Region Coach of the Year in 2018. His expertise has been recognized on the national stage, serving as an assistant coach for the Under Armour All-American Game in 2017 and 2018, as well as multiple selections for the Elite Junior Classic and the GACA North-South Game.

As an educator, Hunnicutt has always prioritized the classroom, earning the Star Teacher Award at Buford High School (2003) and the Golden Apple Award at Lowndes High School (2014)
