Football History and Culture

Coach Tankersley has been the Head Coach at Stephens County High School for 7 years, leading the Indians to sustained success.  Over teh last 4 seasons, the team has won 2 Region Championships, secured 5 playoff victories and reached the Quarterfinals in 2024.  The offense has been a major catalyst, averaging 357 points per season during this stretch.

Assisting Coach Tankersley in the lectures will be: Offensive Coordinator Jerry Underwood that has played a pivotal role in the team's offensive achievements.  His ability to design and implement an up-tempo, dynamic offensive scheme has helped the Indians consistently put points on the board.  Coach Underwood has created a balanced attack that keeps opposing defenses guessing.

Working alongside Coach Underwood in the Passing Game Coordinator: Mitch Morrow, who has fine-tuned the team's aerial game, ensuring the Indians' passing offense remains potent and effcient.  Together with Coach Tankersley's leadership, the offensive staff has transformed Stephens County into one of the most exciting and high-scoring teams in the region.
