Thad Turner is a dedicated football coach and former

professional athlete with a passion for developing

winning teams and empowering young athletes. With a

career that spans playing at the collegiate and NFL

levels and coaching at high school and junior college

programs, Turner’s expertise in the game is matched

by his enthusiasm and leadership.

A standout athlete from Marietta, Georgia, Turner

excelled as a wide receiver and cornerback at Ohio

University, where he played a pivotal role in the team’s

success, including two bowl game appearances and a

MAC Championship berth. Transitioning to the NFL,

Turner competed with the New England Patriots,

Indianapolis Colts, and Arizona Cardinals, where he

gained invaluable insights under legendary coaches

like Bill Belichick and Jim Caldwell.

As a coach, Turner has consistently elevated the

programs he’s been a part of. Currently serving as the

Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach at

Georgia Military College, he helped lead the team to a

10-2 record and a #3 NJCAA national ranking in 2024.

Previously, he transformed defenses at Dodge City

Community College, improving points allowed per

game and guiding the team to its first bowl victory in program history. His coaching journey also

includes successful stints at high schools in Georgia, where his leadership turned struggling teams

into playoff contenders.

Off the field, Turner is known for his energy, relatability, and commitment to player development. He

combines his professional football experience with a deep understanding of the game to mentor

players on and off the field, instilling discipline, resilience, and a drive to succeed.

Thad is supported by his wife, Jessica, a nurse in the United States Air Force Reserves, and their

two daughters, Zoe and Chloe. Together, they share a love for football and are excited about the

opportunities ahead as Turner continues to make an impact in the coaching world.
