Coach Hochstetler is a graduate of Bowdon High School where he played for Dwight

Hochstetler. After graduation, Coach Hochstetler played two years of college baseball before

finishing his undergraduate at Jacksonville State University. Coach Hochstetler received his

Master’s degree from University of West Georgia and his Specialist degree from Jacksonville

State University.

The 2024 season was Coach Hochstetler’s 13th season as either the offensive coordinator or head coach. Since 2022, Coach Hochstetler has served as the offensive coordinator at Temple High School. The 2024 campaign was a historic season for the Temple Tigers by breaking the school’s single season records for most points, points per game, total yards per game, total season yards, and rushing yards per game and season. Temple also hosted and won their first GHSA home playoff game in the school’s history. During the 2015 through 2019 seasons, Coach Hochstetler successfully led the Manchester High School football program with a head coaching record of 45 wins and 15 losses, including Region 4A Championship, Region 4A Coach of the Year, and Tri-Cities Small School Coach of the Year in 2017. As either the offensive coordinator or head coach, Coach Hochstetler’s teams reached the GHSA state Quarterfinals in 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2021. Region Championships as an offensive coordinator in 2014, 2020, and 2021 and as a head coach in 2017. As the offensive coordinator, Cedartown reached the GHSA State Semi Finals in 2021.

Coach Hochstetler and Janel have two daughters, Harper and Hayden, and two grandchildren

Ridley and Rory Adamson. Harper is married to Ben Adamson from Bowdon, Georgia while

Hayden is currently attending Fairleigh Dickinson University on an athletic scholarship.
